ILUMYA® dosing schedule
ILUMYA® is given as an injection under the skin (called a subcutaneous injection) that can be administered by a healthcare professional or self-administered.
You and your healthcare professional should decide if you should inject ILUMYA® yourself. It is important not to try to inject yourself until you have been trained by your healthcare professional.
A caregiver may also give the injection after proper training.
The usual dose of ILUMYA® is 100 mg by a single subcutaneous injection.
The ILUMYA® dosing schedule is as follows:
1
One initial dose is given during your first visit
2
The next dose is given 4 weeks later
3
Subsequent doses are given every 12 weeks thereafter
1st Dose
2nd Dose
(4 weeks later)
Subsequent Dose
(12 weeks later)
Your healthcare professional will regularly monitor your condition to check that the treatment is having the desired effect
You should not stop using ILUMYA® unless you think it is causing a severe side effect – speak to your healthcare professional as soon as possible if this occurs
What to do in the case of a missed dose
If you forget to use ILUMYA®, inject a dose as soon as you remember. Then, take your next dose at your regularly scheduled time. If you are not sure what to do, contact your healthcare professional.
If you have used more ILUMYA® than you should or the dose has been given sooner than prescribed, talk to your healthcare professional
